Groups and Scoring
Competitors in Decathlon and Heptathlon will be assigned into groups of about 12 - 16 athletes. Groups are determined by High Jump/Pole Vault seed marks, school, school district, then region. These groups will migrate together through the events encouraging one another and hopefully making new friendships.
Scoring is based on the International Amateur Athletic Federation scoring tables for track and field events.
Athletes must compete in ALL events - in order - for any points to be scored or records to be made.
Scores in track events are based on time of a single heat.
In the field events, a maximum of three attempts will be given. An athlete’s best attempt will determine their score.
High Jump starting heights are:
Girls - 1.07m (3’ 6”), Boys - 1.37m (4’ 6”).
Pole Vault starting heights is 2.44m (8’ 0”)
FAT and scoring will be managed by UpStart Timing and will be published physically and thru their website: www.upstarttiming.com

The classic commemorative T-shirts will be sold for $25 each.
